The vision of the McAllen ISD Career and Technical Education Department is to provide hands-on opportunities for student to explore career fields that align with the job market and economic growth of our community.

At McAllen ISD, the Career Technical Education unit provides:

• Dual enrollment opportunities with post-secondary institutions

• Thirty-two professional Licenses and Certifications student opportunities

• Job shadowing and Wage Earning Internship opportunities

• PREP – STC Employability Skills Certificate – Tenth Grade Course

• Career and College Electronic System offered to all students K-12

• Student participation opportunities regarding national student organizations - FTC, BPA, DECA, SKILLS USA, HOSA, FCCLA, and FFA.
