We are pleased to present the McAllen Independent School District’s  Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR). The reports were prepared by the Business Services Division. The District’s annual audited financial statements of the governmental activities, each major fund, and the aggregate remaining fund information are presented in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and with requirements established by the Texas Education Agency in their Financial Accountability Systems Resource Guide. The reports as submitted to the Texas Education Agency have been modified to conform to the reporting format required by the Government Finance Officers Association.

Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Awards

Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to McAllen Independent School District for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2023. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. McAllen ISD has earned this certificate of achievement for 14th consecutive years.
