Dear McAllen ISD families and community,
In recent days, there have been threats posted to social media. Some of these mention specific schools in the Rio Grande Valley.
While there have been no threats to McAllen ISD, please know that McAllen ISD takes all threats seriously. Our Police Department will investigate these occurrences and take all steps necessary to ensure the safety of students and staff members. The district police are in constant communication with other school districts and the City of McAllen Police to keep abreast of any new threats that may surface to ensure safety.
We will also keep the lines of communication open to the public. If anyone has any information to report, they may contact our Police Dispatch at 956-632-8768.
