Congratulations to David Ruiz, a teacher at James "Nikki" Rowe High, who has earned the Lifetime Achievement President's Volunteer Service Award. Mr. Ruiz teaches Engineering in the Career Technical Education program and is a FIRST in Texas FIRST Tech Challenge (robotics) Coach. He has completed 4,500 volunteer hours with FIRST in Texas and was the first CTE Robotics Coach for McAllen ISD. The President's Volunteer Award recognizes Americans who volunteer in their communities. It is awarded by the President of the United States.
