This is the second year in a row Fossum has earned this achievement and we are the ONLY McAllen school to have THREE bands earn Sweepstakes! Another huge win for our basketball boys! 🏀🌟 Congratulations to our 7th grade Dark team for taking the title of UNDEFEATED district champions with their 43-29 win over Morris! We are beyond proud of all your hard work and it has definitely paid off. Our gratitude also goes out to Coach Chapa for all you've done to prepare and work with our boys! 🦅

Known for his heartfelt stories and captivating writing, Cartaya has inspired young readers with books like The Epic Fail of Arturo Zamora, Each Tiny Spark, and The Last Beekeeper. His novel The Last Beekeeper was even featured in the Region One Battle of the Books, and students who competed are especially excited to meet the author behind the story. We can't wait to welcome him and give our students the chance to engage with his work, ask questions, and be inspired by his incredible journey as a writer!
