Lamar Academy invites all students, parents, and families to a night of celebration, culture, and literacy as we welcome the Year of the Dragon at our Chinese Lunar New Year Literacy Night! 🌕🐉
✨ Highlights of the Evening:
Traditional Lunar New Year Foods: Taste the delicious flavors of the holiday with some treats and snacks that bring good luck and happiness prepared by Mia Franz.
Arts and Crafts: Enjoy hands-on activities like making paper lanterns, coloring, and calligraphy.
Special Presentation by Mia Franz: Meet Mia, one of our talented students, as she shares her personal story of being adopted from China under the One-Child Policy and how she embraces her Chinese roots here in the U.S. Mia has also created an amazing website exploring her journey, culture, and traditions.
