Good luck to our UIL Chess Team as they compete in the Regional Chess Elementary Championships this weekend at De Leon Middle School! ♟️✨ Our students will be playing seven intense games between Saturday and Sunday, facing off against hundreds of talented players from across the Valley. Go Challengers!🏆👏

What a season! Though the championship game didn’t go our way, we couldn’t be more proud of this team—not just as athletes, but as incredible young people. The growth, dedication, and sportsmanship they showed all season was truly inspiring. Even in defeat, they displayed grace, respect, and heart. A huge congratulations to Castaneda on their championship win and for playing an outstanding game! 🏆 Well deserved! It was truly incredible to see so many parents, families, and teachers come together to support the Challengers. The McAuliffe community means so much to us, and we were humbled to experience such strong support. Your energy and encouragement made all the difference, and we are beyond grateful. Yesterday, we celebrated 100 days of school in the best way possible—by dressing up for the occasion! From creative "100" themed outfits to the most adorable (and hilarious) 100-year-old transformations, our students and staff brought so much fun and creativity to the day! 👵🧓🎩👓 We love seeing creativity and school spirit shine through—here’s to the next 100 days of learning, laughter, and success! 📚🎓

We were honored to have Dr. Elaine Hernandez as our special guest, who captivated our students with a reading of her book 📖 and stayed to sign copies afterward! Students also received free backpacks 🎒, enjoyed exciting games 🎯, and snacked on delicious treats 🍎🍪—making it a night to remember! A special shoutout to our amazing librarian, Mrs. Alcala, and our dedicated Parental Involvement Coordinator, Ms. Rodriguez, for their hard work in making this event such a success. 💙 And of course, we couldn’t have done it without our incredible volunteers, staff, and community members who made this night possible! Our 5th Grade Girls Basketball team showed up and showed out this weekend, earning TWO huge playoff wins and securing their ticket to the Elevate Basketball Championship Game at McHi this Friday at 6:00! 🙌 We are so proud of their teamwork, hustle, and determination. Let’s pack the stands this Friday at McHi and cheer them on as they compete for the CHAMPIONSHIP! 🎉👏
