Congratulations to Dayan Rodriguez Vallejo from McAllen Memorial who set a school record of 1:59.72 (2:00.01) on the 200 Individual Medley this morning during prelims at 2021 5A state meet in San Antonio, TX.

The Mustangs took their 5th first place finish at the RGVGCA-Monte Cristo. On the medalist side, #1,2&3! They tied a school record 288 on Friday. The Lady Mustangs also took first for their 5th top 3 finish! We took 1st, 4th and 5th individually. So proud of the Mustangs!

Above all they had fun playing they game we love ❤️! They not only took us past the first round since 2008, but also made school history being Area Champions and ending the season in the Regional Quarterfinal Round! Thank you to everyone that was a part of this Journey with me, my staff and the parents of these young ladies!! WILL BE BACK SOON AND BETTER THAN LAST YEAR... returning 11 kids! Big Shout Out to our Memorial Cheerleaders for their continuous support! They cheered twice yesterday at the girls and boys playoff game! Thank you!

Mustang 🏀 had an unbelievable season considering so many obstacles. Tonight they played against Browns. Pace in the playoffs but fell short. They played with great pride and never gave up. Congratulations Mustangs on a great season and we can’t wait for next year!

History was made today, as our Lady Mustangs won the school’s first Area Championship Title! Congratulations Lady Mustangs and Coaches!
